Create vm from vmdk

Welcome to the Community,

follow the Create Virtual Maschine wizard to step 4 "Customize Settings". In this screen, delete the default "Hard Disk 1" (if you don't need it), and then select "Add hard disk". This will allow you to select an exiting virtual disk.
