First install Virtualbox
sudo vim /etc/apt/sources.list.d/virtualbox.list
- Add
deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian saucy contrib
wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dkms unzip
sudo apt-get install virtualbox-4.3 --no-install-recommends
wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.2/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.2.vbox-extpack
sudo VBoxManage extpack install Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.2.vbox-extpack
Now to install phpVirtualbox
sudo apt-get install apache2 php5 libapache2-mod-php5
sudo service apache2 restart
sudo adduser --ingroup vboxusers vbox
and enter a passwordwget 'http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpvirtualbox/files/phpvirtualbox-4.3-0.zip/download' -O phpvirtualbox-4.3-0.zip
sudo unzip phpvirtualbox-4.3-0.zip -d /var/www/vb
cd /var/www/vb
sudo mv config.php-example config.php
sudo nano config.php
and make$username
and$password
match the user you created earlier- Also add this line to disable phpVirtualbox's authentication
var $noAuth = true;
sudo nano /etc/default/virtualbox
- Add
VBOXWEB_USER=vbox
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxweb-service start
- In a browser, go to
http://your-server/phpvirtualbox
For me i had to enable VT-d and VT-x in my BIOS in order to get phpvirtualbox to work properly.
